Overview

Healing Hands is the charitable foundation of doTERRA, supporting communities through health, education, and empowerment projects. The brand and website were refreshed to create a more engaging identity, simplify user journeys, and drive greater participation in donations and matched funding initiatives.

The Challenge

The existing site was hard to navigate and the matched funding program relied on a slow, offline process. This caused low engagement, application drop-offs, and limited awareness of how users could get involved or support projects.

The Solution

We introduced a vibrant new brand identity, restructured the site for clarity, and prioritised key actions like donating and fundraising. The matched funding program was transformed into an intuitive, step-by-step online journey, making it easier for users to apply and stay engaged.

An identity that makes a difference

We worked with doTERRA to create a new and engaging look for the foundation that was then applied across multiple channels. The brand’s bright colour palette coupled with the on-the-ground project photography were designed to promote the positive energy of getting involved in a meaningful, collaborative cause.

Engage in Good

The main website enabled users to learn about the organisations mission, on-going initiatives and donate towards partnered projects. Advocates can also create their own fundraising pages in support of a cause.

A better way to get around

From the heuristics evaluation a number of issues surfaced in regard to navigating the site. As part of the redesign, we simplified the site architecture to aid wayfinding, created a story-led sitemap to help users through the experience and prioritised the main actions of the site, introducing more opportunities to get involved.

A user-centred application process

The next phase of the project was to transform the matched funding program. It was previously a time-consuming, off-line process that was hindering the application experience and contributing to abandonment.

Firstly, a sub-brand was created for The Match Program to increase awareness and inspire user engagement throughout the site. We audited, mapped and wireframed the entire application process in collaboration with the client, flowing the content into easy to consume and actionable steps. We brought the application process to life using the brand assets with a focus on guiding the user every step of the way.
